Last Saturday, I had a great dinner with some family friends of my dad's. we ate lots of Asian food such as chicken, duck, seafood (such as oysters), sweet and sour pork (to be specific) and many Asian vegetables. I have no idea what we were supposed to be celebrating but Asian dinners these days usually mean wine lovers can talk about the wine they have brought, how they are different to other wines and stuff like that since it has become and adult fad. Well, I was just reading and watching the TV the whole time I didn't expect what was going to happen on the very Monday that was coming up...
That long weekend Monday, my mum had to work and my dad was staying at home, helping my younger brother with his coaching homework. Typical Asian dad. When mum had come home, it was already time to eat lunch so we decided to eat at the Japanese restaurant. If I can remember properly I think we ordered stir-fried udon noodles with chicken, Unagi rice box (eel rice box), and teriyaki chicken udon. Two bowls of miso soup came with that as well. Surprisingly the teriyaki chicken which I though was supposed to be place on top of the udon was separately placed on a dish with some Doritos! Yep, you saw that right, Doritos. Apparently there's another Japanese restaurant this one is competing with so they have to stand out from the other one because the other restaurant has a $1 kids meal with every adult udon so yeah... that's unfortunate.
Enough about that. That day I had already felt a kind of stomach pain. I thought it was just the ones I always have, because I have always had a weak digestive system. I always have stomach aches whenever I eat something wrong so, I thought it was just one of those. At night my mum was feeling tired from work so she didn't cook our dinner, so we ordered pizza. That week had some kind of phone ordering saving deal so my dad ordered the pizza from his phone. My dad and I went to pick it up, which was only a few minutes drive from home. We got back home, ate the pizza and continued what we did at home on a normal Sunday night like watch TV or play on the computer like I do.
By this time, I was feeling very nauseous and I felt like I was going to throw up. I sat in the toilet for ages but nothing seemed to be happening. So I gave up, but the pain did not cease. I was 11pm and I was getting ready to sleep when I couldn't hold back any longer I threw up the pizza I had before, in the toilet bowl. It was painful and smelly. I couldn't stand the smell of the stuff that I threw up. I did as much as I could before I could sleep comfortably. In the morning about 5am, my mum which was going to work came and checked up on me. The first think I said was, "I need water." So she quickly poured me a glass of water and brought it to my room where I drank it like I never had water in a month. It quenched my thirst and also got rid of the acidy stuff in my throat and mouth. My mum told me to not go to school if I was not feeling very well. No way would I give up my perfect attendance for my bad stomach.
The very morning I felt sluggish and hot. I took the bus to the train station and felt the pain in my digestive system still there. I met my friend and we got on the train together, I was feeling very sick so I didn't talk much and feel as good as I normally would on a normal school morning. When my friend got on the the train a few stops later, she noticed my cheeks were red, and felt that I was having a fever or something of the sort. I thought it was the heater coming from the train and my scarf that was making me hot. When we got off the train I felt a bit better from the fresh air, not that it was a particularly good day with good weather either.
For the rest of the day I felt as though a rock was sitting on my head, I kept having headaches and was feeling dizzy. When it was recess or lunch i couldn't eat my bread that I always ate. Not to mention the pain in my stomach was still there. In classes, I had super headaches so I couldn't concentrate much. It' was a good thing I was ahead of my classmates in the reading task so I could pretend to read while having a rest. The day passed by in a blur. Without even realising the school had already ended.
This continued for another three days. But each day I could feel that the headaches and the dizziness was decreasing. The stomach cramps came less often and I wasn't as drowsy as the first day. On Sunday, I decided I had to go to the doctors. I couldn't stand the pain any longer. The doctor had asked me some questions about my symptoms and what areas of my body had hurt. The doctor felt my stomach and pushed on the areas where it had hurt. He found out I had an infection in the large intestines. I was diagnosed with gastroenteritis. Probably from food poisoning. Yep, it was the oysters. Ever since i was small I could never handle fresh seafood, especially oysters. My dad is as well, actually most of the people in my family are prone to uncooked or lazily-cooked seafood. The doctor advised me to drink more fluids and stop eating the pills which my pharmacist had recommended before. Buscopan, it was. The doctor said that the pills prolonged the life of the bacteria in my digestive system.
When I got home I ran to the computer straight away checking out what Gastroenteritis really was. I twas the inflammation of the colon (large intestine) or the upper bowel. It said that it lasted for about1-6 day and it was self-limiting. I'm glad to finally know what it is and I want to get better so I can eat yummy food that my parents make for me!!
Sorry for making you listen to this long story, I will try my best to get better!!

Saturday, 4 June 2011 ~porridge, pork & vegetable bun, zongzi and pizza~
I started my usual Saturday with porridge, again. It's not that it's not healthy or anything, it just gets boring, doncha think? BUT today, miraculously, my mum and dad thought of eating a pork and vegetable bun at the Asian fast food restaurant in the train station for brunch! Wow, it had been around half a year since I had tasted those buns and before the raised the price of it by 30c. So you can buy one bun for $1.50. There were different fillings inside which gave the names to these buns. There were pork, pork & vegetables, pork and mushroom, vegetable and many others which I can't remember but are worthwhile tasting. I'm not quite sure what origin these buns come from but I know it's definitely from China (sorry, that is such a stupid suggestion, it's wayy too obvious). I used to buy a bun for breakfast if I was running late for the bus and if I forgot to eat breakfast at home. Nowadays, I don't have that much time on my hands.I might buy some next time I'm in a rush.
Whoops, talking off-track here, so for lurch, I had 'zongzi' which is a traditional Chinese dish or "dumpling" eaten on special occasions...oh yea! This dish is eaten to celebrate, well actually mourn, the death of a certain ancient Chinese emperor, who was very responsible for his people and did many things to make the world a better place for the peasants and workers. It was said that he had suicided and jumped into a certain river. The people of the village did not want the emperor's body to be eaten by the crustaceans and sea creatures, so they wrapped up glutinous rice, and different savoury or sweet ingredients into a special type of leaf, tied it up with string, and threw it into the river. This gave birth to the new dish in the whole China.
I cooked a 'zongzi' today, myself, but with the instructions from my dad. I had to place the two 'zongzi' into a small saucepan and fill it up with water until it just submerged both 'zongzi'. I had to wait the saucepan was completely heated up and turn down to a lower heat, and leave it there for 4 minutes. Unfortunately, I took my eye of the time and cooked it for 6 minutes instead. It made not much difference. At least the food inside was okay. So, I thought I had cooked two green bean ones, when I had actually went and cooked a red bean and a green bean. So my dad ended up with the red bean one. For extra yumminess, you can dip the rice or ingredients inside it into soya sauce, or just any sugar (raw sugar, white sugar, brown sugar, they taste all the same with the 'zongzi').
Pizza. Pizza was not bad today. My dad and I had ordered two traditional large pizzas from Dominoes online. It was quite fun. Though, I went and picked it up with my dad. We ordered a Double bacon Cheeseburger Pizza with Square Puff, and a Meatlovers with a Classic Crust. I think that the rest of the pizza's are such rip-offs. Yep, they're nicer and tastier but does it have to cost 13 bucks for a pizza that only serves (at the least) eight people? Anyways, I think my dad has started to favour the Meatlovers pizza.
That's it for this week, well actually, day. See you later!! :)

Saturday, 28 May 2011 ~porridge and home-made fried rice~
Ok, so I started my day off at 9am with a bowl of Uncle Toby's porridge made by mum <33. I know it sounds boring but it contains loads of oatmeal and milk which has alot of fibre and calcium, so you know its good for your body. My mum also added a teaspoon of pure Australian honey to everyone's bowl (my dad, my brother, herself and me) to give the porridge the most original, tastiest and healthy flavour. The calcium in the milk (in the porridge), is very useful to our bodies and will make our bones stronger. Fibre in the oats allow the wastes in your large intestine, to be more softer which lets the wastes pass out of our bodies easier.
I had an extended breakfast so it was kind of like a brunch at 11am in Good Kitchen(a local restaurant /cafe) after I had piano lessons. I had a portion of a bowl of macaroni with peas and small strips of chicken. Accompanied with that I had a some bacon slices, scrambled eggs and a slice of bread. Aah...and also some steamed rice rolls with scallops. This meal is, if I remember properly, $6.50 AUD with a choice of hot or cold drinks which are included in the meal. My mum and dad always drink hot milk tea after we've finished the foods.
For lunch, I had a very colourful and nutritious home-made fried rice! I washed the rice and placed it in the rice cooker. My dad did the rest. He combined a small pieces of scrambled egg, peas, corn, rice, carrots and chopped up bit of BBQ pork into the rice. I think the trick is to add a touch of salt in the combination. The peas, corn and carrots were originally in a pack bought together already chopped up. By letting the rice cool down for a bit before putting all the ingredients together, it will give the rice a nice texture when eaten. Before you mix everything remember to put some oil onto the pan. Everything is placed into the pan and by using a non-stick kitchen utensil (I forgot its name, sorry...), you stir the rice, corn, peas, carrots, BBQ pork and egg until you can smell the combination. Remember not to overcook it, or else the rice will start sticking to the pan (allow a tiny bit to). If you like the rice to be a bit crunchy, you can overcook the rice slightly.
That's all for today, I think I'm having congee tonight for dinner. I have to wash the meat so, until next time!

New idea for blogging :)
While not blogging for a while I have thought about what kind of blogs I should write about. An idea popped up inside my head a few days ago. I've tried blogging about anime (well actually drama), about school, and my incomplete story. This new idea I came up with is blogging about what I eat!! Yea, I know, it's really lame, but I think it'll be fun. I'll do this until I can't be bothered, or if I come up with another amazing idea, ok?

I "worked to death"...
BIG SIGH~~~~~ hi everyone! It's been exactly a week before the first day of term 2 in year 8. Ever since then, I have completed 3 tests and 3 assignments not including a 2 more tests and a music solo performance tomorrow and next week. Yep, that's right. It's the half-yearlies week. These tests count towards my first semester report. It's ONLY the second week of term 2 and the art teacher says she has to mark everything in your art diary cos she has to write your report =_=''(what the heck?!?). Well yeah, the teachers are busy, blah blah blah...but we really shouldn't need to do a test and hand in our assignment on the FIRST day right after the holidays, right?!
It's not like we have completely nothing to do in the holidays. Holidays for us, means a time to chillax at home without needing to get up 7am in the morning to catch the bus and train to school. Some people are lucky that the live right next to the school, and others, not so lucky (sorry roni). For me, it was a time to hang out with my mates or watch anime and read manga. And read books. Do lots of things you never could have done on school weekdays.
I just did my history assignment today. We had to write about a Roman person + do a speech + present it with a prezi. Which is a 'zooming presentation editor'. It was supposed to be a "guide" to the speech. The topic I chose werepriestesses doctors slaves. Unfortunately, half the class had chosen this topic and many of my images were not surprising or really interesting. I was shaking, like literally couldn't type my email and password. I stuffed up 4 times, like made a spelling error in my log in T^T. Throughout the whole speech thing, I was stuttering and I had no response from the audience so I kept worrying if I had did anything wrong. And I'm pretty sure I spoke way over the time limit.
Thanks for letting me whinge about myself and tests and stuff. I whinge to much. Probably because I am very lazy; well I'm planning to improve so then...
Byebye! :)

Holiday~~ Day 17
It's been ages since I've blogged. I'm supposed to be doing my history assignment right now but I have no idea where I should start off... and I have less than 48 hours before I have to hand it in. PLUS it's also includes a speech!!! What am I gunna do? I think I'm gunna fail. No! I can't! I can't afford to slack off now... What should I do... HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO START IT... and I wanted to not do it at the last minute...and I planned my schedule in our last science class of the term when we were supposed to be having fun playing "Who Wants to be a Millionaire". AAARRRRGGHHHH!!! <pulling out her hair> (i didn't actually pull my hair out, okay, so don't freak out, hair lovers out there...)
Why and how did time fly so quickly? Who knows. It was just probably me. I was always in front of the computer reading manga after breakfast at around 10am. Then a few chapters later... mum's home! And then I look at the time... 1:59pm ... HOW THE HELL WAS THAT EVEN 4 HOURS? I mean, like how would I not know what the time is when I actually depend on 10 clocks around the house. Including my watches. My iPod. My computer. My phone. The wall clocks. The microwave time. The oven time.
Well to be honest I haven't done enough exercising this holidays. I was planning to do some planks and push-ups and sit-up and stretches, but I never got around to it, cos' I changed my mind and decided to wash my hair..

LOL! I had fun! Bye bye~~ oh yea i better get started on my assignment...almost forgot...

Holiday~~ Day 8
It's been a while since I had blogged. It wasn't that I was busy or anything. I just had nothing to talk about. So my friend suggested that I should talk about talking about nothing. For the past few days I have been a home mole. Well, no since my good friend is too busy watching korean videos and my other good friend is too busy playing maple story and her new puppy, I watched 'Bloody Mondy'.
It's a japanese drama, okay. Oh! I'll do a review on it! :) Here goes nothing.
Bloody Monday is a japanese drama and manga mainly revolving around a boy named Takagi Fujimaru. He is a computer hacker genius, codenamed 'Falcon'. He was in middle school when he hacked in the THIRD-i's system but was caught. Fujimaru is the brother of Takagi Haruka who has a kidney problem and has to undergo dailysis frequently and son of Takagi Ryonosuke which is a person who works in THIRD-i, which is an association where elite police officers, help to catch criminals and those who harm Japan. This story is about the terrorism of a religious cult which they want to create a new world with a the cult leader as their 'god'. It began with a video where there people in a Russian church started to spit blood and have red boils of their skin. It was the virus, Bloody-X. This strory involves: the betrayal of those who are close, the desperate protection of loved ones, dangerous ventures, suspense which your heart will thump really hard,
and many many more. I totally recommend it to those who are feeling adventurous and ready for some scare.
I'm getting bored now so I'm gunna stop reviewing. Anyways, see ya 'round!

Holiday~~ Day 1
It's been three and a half hours since I have woken up. Which means three and a half hours of my whole holiday has been used. Why is it, that I do not feel the same towards the time in holidays, like I used to when I was in primary school or the holidays last year? Most likely because I have lost my freedom. Everyday at home I always feel like a caged bird that wants to fly and see the world again, like it did when it used to be free. The linear blinds on the window are the bars of the cage. The closed door of the room, is the door of the cage, which is the only entrance and exit into and out of the outside world. Actually no. I'm not only a caged bird. I am a caged bird which can't fly. I can walk in and out of the room as I please but I cannot fly anywhere. I am complaining to myself for not knowing how to become stronger and to fight against my tyrannous master (in other words my dad). I want to see things that make me laugh, make me cry, make me feel excited and make me think the world isn't the worst place to be.

In the Park
The winter sunshine shone on my cheeks. I watched as the white, fluffy clouds were blown across the light blue sky to reaveal the sun. I shut my eyes slowly. The melodies sung by the hibernating birds began grow louder . I rocked gently on the seat of the swing, watching the local children who had wide grins and rosy-red cheeks, play on the monkey bars.

Heartbroken
I dropped my umbrella. The soft drizzle of the rain felt like the hardest of hailstones were striking me on the same spot. The back of my eyes began to sting. I wanted to run and hide under my bed sheets forever, but I couldn't. My feet were glued to the ground. I struggled to keep my balance and and fell to my knees. Salty tears filled my eyes. Everything ended in a blur...

Happy Memories~~Last Day of Term 1 of Year 8
Woah!?! Hasn't the first school term flew by so quickly? It felt like yesterday was the beggining of me being in Year 8. Waa! T^T so many people bludged. After the daylight saving time had been changed, the mornings I wake up to have been very bright and very hot especially the days when I need to catch an earlier train to school with my friends.
I have received the word from my mum that we're going to Adelaide. It'll be boring 'cos all you do there is drive around in a rented car, watch vineyards grow and smell leaked wine in cellars. Guess I'll bring my books and notebooks to read and write or draw...
I sometime wonder about what it feels like too not worry about some things. I always have something to worry about... such as the 2 assignments and 2 tests due on the first two weeks of the next term. Sigh~~~~. I've even (for the first time) made a deadline for myself!! (I think I got the idea of a dead line from Bakuman.) But yes, of course, you have to let a day or so be wasted in the time between the assignment and the studying of the tests. I'm SO glad that we have two weeks and three days of holidays! >-<
I just went through Hell trying to mark my brother's essay writing in his tutoring homework. He had so many mistakes being in year 4 and even though his maths is like Superman's his writing is terrible. I feel really sorry for the teacher who has to mark my brother's essay in the past, when I didn't edit it.
I'm sorry you had to hear out my complaints, but I really had to get it out of my system. Anyways,

Happy Memories~~ Second Last Day of Term 1 of Year 8
Today's weather was great even though it was freezing in the morning, there was some sunlight that kept me warm. I woke up very fast unlike last year, probably half because I didn't want my dad to scold me but also Michelle's slaps are really hard (believe or not). I got to the station by bus, and today for some magical reason, it wasn't late! I was also wondering why the St. George girls were wearing mufti...strange.
When I went up to Michelle at the train station I saw she was in a worried position holding a couple of notes. She saw me and waved the papers in my face. She said, "I forgot to bring my music textbook home and I have a music test TODAY!" But seemed like everything was alright 'cos Crystal had helped her the night before by taking photos of the notes from the textbook.
At music today, we had to finish a group assignment in half an hour but only had 2 of the 3 verses we were supposed to do. Anne and Amri were practising the guitar while Veronica clapped the rhythmn. Angel and I were the vocals. We were stuck on the last verse and completely forgot the tune of the 12 bar blues and so Anne ran to Stevo and asked him to help our group. We practically had a lyrics-maker's block. I was so hilarious how Anne was like forcing the guitar to make th sounds and she and Amri were playing out of time when we were getting tired of the song.
In English, we had to watch and jot down notes about the themes of the Merchant of Venice. Susanna was complaining the whole time how the actress playing Potia was so ugly. Well, to me yes she was kind of ugly ( it was the older version so thats why). One time we were so bored of the movie our whole group was reading. Jordie was reading Maximum's Ride, Susanna and I were reading Fairytail and Amri was being smart and was reading the text of the Merchant of Venice.
In maths, we received our semester 1 maths exams back. I had gotten 51 out of 60, which was 85% but the class average was 86%. I wasn't that upset because it was just ONE percent off the class average. I don't even like maths. But I also don't hate it.
Even though it was our last history class of the term, Mrs Karykides still made us finish off the Roman architecture questions. THEY WERE SO BORING. Actually not really. It was okay. Bu the best par of the lesson was when we had our farewell party for Mrs Karykides, since she was leaving our school to be a permanent teacher at Woolongong, at some school named...if I can recall back...I think it was Figtree High. Susanna said she was going to take some photos with her but I think she probably forgot.
Ahhhhh...wahhh, my day was sooo tiring, I had to deal with may thigh pains 'cos I did planks, lunge holds for a long time and I had my braces tightened yesterday so they both hurt at the same time. But I did be a good girl and washed the dishes folded the clothes. I can't even stand up properly without holding onto something stable.
That's my blog for today. Hoped you enjoyed it. Probably wasn't that interesting. This is my first real blog. Blogging is quite fun.
See you later,

Shiawase wa doko? ~Prolouge~
I woke up with a harsh chill on my neck. I shivered when the frosty windhit my arms. I blinked once. Twice. Three times. Everywhere I looked, it was covered with shadows. I triedlifting myself up from what I thought was my bed but nowa pathway fiiled with pebbles. Sweat dripped down my forehead.
What in the world was going on?
One by one figures began to materialise in the shadows. A silver line outlined their shape. They appeared to look like humans but somewhat...inhumane. There were five of them and they were closing in...fast. All their hands were reaching towards me at the same time I could hear the thumping of my heart in my ears. I could feel the adreneline rushing through every vein inside of me.
What should I do?
